Netzportal Product Documentation

Netzportal is a digital service Portal for network operators and municipalities. Your customers — homeowners, businesses and installers — use it to request services online (for example a grid connection, a meter change or a PV registration). Your team uses it to design those requests, receive them and process them.

Netzportal has two parts:

PartWho uses itWhat it is for
PortalYour customers and partnersRequesting services, following inquiries, managing their account.
DesignerYour teamDesigning services and forms, processing settings, users, roles and content.

Everything is configured in the Designer. No programming is needed to add a new service, change a form or open and close an offer.

Who uses Netzportal

RoleWhat they do
ApplicantsVisit the Portal, choose a service, fill in a guided form and submit an inquiry. Signed-in users can save their progress and follow their inquiries.
DesignersBuild forms, group them into collections, decide who can see them and keep the content up to date.
Reviewers / staffReceive inquiries, check them and move them through your processing steps.
External partnersOptionally continue an inquiry that was handed over to them (for example an installer company).

What you can do

  • Offer services online — each service is a form shown as a tile on the Portal.
  • Group services — collections bundle related forms (for example "Electricity" and "Gas") and control their visibility.
  • Build guided forms — drag and drop fields into steps, show fields only when they are relevant, calculate values and check inputs.
  • Use your own data — fill dropdowns and fields from lookup tables you maintain, for example postal codes or meter types.
  • Control access — show services and even single fields only to certain user groups or for certain services.
  • Pause services — put a collection or a single form into maintenance with your own message.
